Christie has more than eight years' experience in Earth Science Research and in the Contaminated Land Industry. This experience extends to project management, technical assessment and monitoring, health and safety, environmental management and remediation for the investigation of contaminated sites.

Christie has conducted and project managed preliminary site investigations, large scale environmental site assessments, soil classification assessments, groundwater monitoring events and environmental site assessments for statutory environmental audits. She has also assisted in the review of legal court documents for the provision of expert witness advice. The experiences gained in the assessment of active service stations, operational rail and port-related sites, child care centres, and former industrial, greenfield and agricultural sites have provided skills in working with a diverse range of clients and a variety of land contamination issues.

Christie has gained over four years' experience as the primary support role for accredited Victorian Environment Protection Authority (EPA) Contaminated Land Auditors. In this Auditor’s Representative role, Christie is responsible for assisting in a project management capacity, as well as technical report review, preparation of correspondence, and reporting and liaison responsibilities.

Christie’s continuing environmental assessment role includes mentoring of graduate and project environmental consultant-level staff and undertaking technical review and providing technical advice for contaminated site assessments
