{"id":1102,"date":"2020-04-24T12:45:58","date_gmt":"2020-04-24T02:45:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prensa.com.au\/?p=1102"},"modified":"2020-04-27T12:47:18","modified_gmt":"2020-04-27T02:47:18","slug":"new-developments-in-covid-19-testing-of-surfaces","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prensa.com.au\/index.php\/2020\/04\/24\/new-developments-in-covid-19-testing-of-surfaces\/","title":{"rendered":"New Developments in  COVID-19 Testing of Surfaces"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Recent developments of analytical methods now enables surfaces within workplaces to be tested for the COVID-19 virus (SARS-CoV-2).&nbsp; The new test will allow for rapid verification that cleaning and disinfection of buildings has been effective<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"358\" src=\"https:\/\/prensa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/photo-3--1024x358.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1103\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Thankfully, at the moment the risk of\ninfection remains low but as we open up the economy we will likely see\nfluctuations in the number of recorded cases and experience sporadic outbreaks\nof infections which will inevitably impact the operations of workplaces,\neducational and retail facilities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until now, there was no reliable method of\ntesting surfaces within a building or workplace for the presence of the virus\nresponsible for COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2).
